Abstract

SummaryA humoral agent produced by single injection of antigen and responsible for leukocyte agglutination, which occurs in presence of specific antigen has been demonstrated in anti-EA and anti-type III pneumococcal sera. The factor is heat labile and, due to its specific affinity for EA treated tanned red cells and type III pneumococci respectively, it is thought to be antibody.
