Abstract
Tourist regionalization should provide the most comprehensive view of the territory, since it is intended for a variety of consumers with different needs. Joining natural, socio-economic, historical-geographical and other regional grids is a difficult task. Considering the specifics of natural zoning can serve as a solid basis for tourist regionalization, especially for plain territories. In the context of modern trends, the authors analyze the district-forming features and focus on the consideration of natural zoning in tourist regionalization schemes. The article provides examples of territories where the priority role of zoning among the principles of zoning is traced. Tourist regionalization based on the law of zoning has been implemented in the Perm region and Tyumen region. Possible aspects of the law of zoning in the territorial organization of tourism have been identified. The study emphasizes on zonal regularities of tourist processes, also it identifies zonal and azonal types of tourist activities.
