Abstract

Several causes of postpartum hemorrhage include: uterine atony, trauma and lacerations, placental retention, and thrombophilia. Losing a lot of blood causes signs of shock, namely paleness, low blood pressure, fast and small pulse, cold extremities, and so on. The purpose of this research is to make senduduk leaves as a medical ingredient to treat postpartum hemorrhage that occurs due to pathological labor conditions that do not have side effects. The research method used an analytic experimental approach with a post-test only with control group design. The experimental group and the control group were not randomly selected. The experimental class received treatment while the control class did not receive treatment. The research was conducted at the Murniati Maternity Clinic, Asahan District. The results of the analysis showed that the value of the risk of postpartum hemorrhage in the intervention group did not experience bleeding, 8 respondents or equal to (80%). Most of the risk values for postpartum hemorrhage in the control group experienced bleeding, as many as 7 respondents or (70%). There is an influence of natural pigment production technology using senduduk leaves in preventing the risk of postpartum hemorrhage at the Murniati Maternity Clinic in 2022 with p = 0.035, (<0.05).
