Furthermore, for figures 2B, 3A, and 5A, the source data (SD) were that of duplicate experiments. The data itself were correct and have been retained, but in the relevant figures, we have added the SD on which the published figures were based online to the paper. The errors have been corrected in the figure panels presented below, and the correct SD has been added where appropriate online, as outlined below. Figure 1C: We had by mistake provided the wrong negative control panels for Figure 1C in triplicate. We have now provided the new corrected figure below, and the corresponding SD have been added to the figure online. Figure 3B: Top panel (anti-MBL): The SD provided earlier were wrongly flipped and marked during the SD file preparation in Adobe Illustrator (and thus the “time (hpi)” caption did not correspond to the main figure). We have now provided the corrected SD. Red boxed panel (anti-IgG): We had wrongly labeled the order of time points for the first four lanes of the left (106 cfu) panel during SD file preparation in Adobe Illustrator. We have now provided the corrected SD. Figure 5A: Lower panel (anti-ficolin): We made an error while preparing the SD file in Adobe Illustrator (flipped & wrong label of MW markers). We have now provided the corrected SD corresponding to the figure. Figure 7A: We had inadvertently swapped the anti-ficolin panels for the [IgG non-binding peptides]: [ficolin] = 1:1 with that of 5:1 ratio during figure preparation. We have now provided the new corrected figure. The order of time points for the binding peptides was wrongly labeled on the SD for the blot of [IgG peptides]: [ficolin] = 1:1 in the anti-ficolin panel, during SD file preparation in Adobe Illustrator. We have now provided the SD with the correct order of time points. These corrections do not change any conclusion or findings of the paper. We apologize for any inconvenience caused to the readers.
