Abstract

After water loading, rats bearing ocular grafts of the pars intermedia of the pituitary showed that the content of sodium increased in urine, whereas potassium excretion and diuresis did not vary significatively. These results suggest that in the rat the pars intermedia is involved in the regulation of the electrolyte metabolism.
