Abstract
Every maxillofacial unit in the country has their own trauma database. And most of the time each unit would claim to be completing it scrupulously. There are many different types of databases in use and whilst the style may differ, the type of data collected would remain constant. Therefore, why isn’t there a national trauma database in use?
