Abstract

A NEW YEAR has arrived once again. And while most tend to look toward a new year with both promise and trepidation, it seems that as I write this editorial in mid-December, the trepidation far outweighs the promise. What will the New Year bring? Will the market rebound, or continue to sink? Will there still be a US car industry, or have they all gone belly up? Will I be able to maintain my mortgage? Will I have a job? Will I, and the country, be safe? The questions…and fears…are too numerous to list; and the answers and solutions even more difficult to imagine.
