Abstract

The launch of a national system to coordinate specialty training job offers and acceptances across the United Kingdom has been pushed back to 2013. Development of the UK Offers system (UKOFFS), which has been underway since 2010, has progressed but not enough to enable its full implementation, Medical Education England (MEE) has stated. Instead pilots will run in 2012 in anaesthesia (West Midlands deanery), public health (East Midlands deanery), and neurosurgery (Yorkshire and the Humber deanery) to fully test the offers system with live data.
