Abstract

This paper is intended to investigate and scrutinize how national identity is quested and portrayed in William Butler Yeats’ poetry taking into consideration the eco-postcolonial perspective. Some poems have been chosen to fulfill this purpose such as An Irish Airman Foresees His Death , September 1913 , Easter 1916 , The Fisherman , The Second Coming , The Stolen Child , and The Rose Tree .
