Abstract

Every year since 1982, the American Society for Surgery of the Hand has sponsored a young member as its Bunnell Traveling Fellow. Named eponymously for the late physician and father of hand surgery, the Sterling Bunnell Traveling Fellowship enables young hand surgeons to foster national and international relationships that contribute to their higher learning and advance the principles of scholarship by improving treatment of hand and upper extremity disorders. Thisreport is an account of the experiences and insights I gained while exploring national healthcare initiatives and wrist surgery innovations.
