Abstract
Leaders of national medical and mental health organizations publicly joined together last week in observance of National Coming Out Day, Oct. 11, to end conversion therapy — calling such efforts “unscientific” and “ineffective” — and to affirm LGBTQ+ health care. The pioneering partnership is working to escalate awareness about how harmful conversion efforts are to a national level, organizers stated.
