Abstract

The proceedings of the Twenty-fifth Congress of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union emphasized that "managerial and, above all, planning activity must be directed toward final economic results." This confronts economic science with the task of elaborating the place and role of the category "final national economic results" in the system of reproductive categories in the political economy of socialism, its physical and socioeconomic content, and the corresponding indicators. The formation of this category depends on the degree of maturity of socialist production relations in the period of developed socialism, the rise of the level of economic development of the USSR and other countries in the world socialist economic system, and the intensification of social production in their economies.
