Abstract

Last week, the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP), in partnership with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), launched a national data dashboard of nonfatal opioid overdoses across the country. A person who is rescued from an opioid overdose is more than twice as likely to die from an opioid overdose in the future, said ONDCP Director Rahul Gupta, M.D., in announcing the dashboard Dec. 7.
