Abstract

The National Council for Mental Wellbeing is accepting applications through May 27 for the 2022 Mental Health First Aid USA Doctoral Student Grants. The program reflects the National Council's effort to grow the research and evaluation base around Mental Health First Aid, the curriculum that instructs individuals from all walks of life in recognizing and responding to behavioral health crises. Eligible for the grants are full‐time doctoral students in psychology, public health or a related field, with previous evaluation experience and either a strong interest in or direct experience with Mental Health First Aid. A panel will interview finalists for the grants, and the top four candidates will receive an award of $5,000 each. Funded recipients will submit regular research updates and complete a final report of research findings within two years of receiving the grant. More information about the grant program can be found at https://www.MentalHealthFirstAid.org/DoctoralGrants.
