Abstract

ABSTRACT Many consider the various professional sports organizations found in the United States to be similar. However, the only thing these organizations have in common is the use of the term professional and an overlap in fan bases. A major distinguishing characteristic of this variation can be seen in the numerous organizational business models used. This paper will focus on the National Association for Stock Car Racing's (NASCAR) changing business model and its similarities and difference to other United States professional sports leagues. Keywords NASCAR, Sprint Cup, and Business Model
