Abstract

Each year over 150,000 children are admitted to the hospital for community acquired pneumonia. Previous studies have shown up to 45% of children are treated with 3rdgeneration cephalosporin, although recommendations from the 2011 guidelines are to use Ampicillin as first line therapy.
