Abstract

In this paper, some narrowband interference (NBI) suppression technologies for coexistence of impulse-radio Ultra-wideband (IR-UWB) systems with other wireless systems were studied. And a novel method was presented, that is transform domain excision based on wavelet packets combined with singular value decomposition (SVD). The interference is firstly well located through wavelet packet decomposition, then subtracted from the received signal by SVD. Compared with the other NBI suppression methods, the proposed method is superior in performance, NBI localization speed and computational complexity.
