Abstract
General expressions are presented for the transfer functions of quadrantal digital fan filters and 90° digital fan filters. Through a study of the coefficients of the transfer functions, a method for the design of multiplierless fan filters with sum of power-of-two lpar;SOPOT) coefficients using these formats is introduced and a table of SOPOT coefficients is given for filter order M ranging from 4 to 10, A number of examples have been tried.
