Abstract

This chapter offers an overview on the use of history in the conflicts over sociopolitical identities in contemporary Turkey and investigates how contemporary Turkish politics is governed by notions of history and cultural heritage, as well as how these conceptualizations are (re)defined in the contemporary political landscape.
