Abstract

At present, one of the greatest challenges faced by privacy advocates is public awareness. In an era in which there are almost as many cell phone subscriptions are there are people on earth [1], the security of our personal information is an issue that impacts almost everyone both immediately and in the long-term. Yet the public appears resistant to changing behavior. This reluctance to be more vigilant with personal information is in large part due to the fact that the allure of digital networked devices outweighs the perceived potential risks to privacy and to the sanctity of our identifying data.
