Abstract

Female Narratives of Armed Conflict and Political Violence in Colombia: Telling in Order to Begin Anew ABSTRACT | This article poses interesting possibilities for reflecting on the armed conflict and political violence in Colombia through recovering the voices of a sector that has been excluded from the official history: women. It thus constitutes a look into the voices of women, the starting point of which is centered on a review of some of the features that certain historic events have imprinted on the role of women in political as well as everyday scenarios. Furthermore, it refers to the narratives of some women who have been protagonists in the country's recent history of political conflict (particularly ex-combatants from insurgent organizations) in order to explore aspects of the configuration of their subjectivities and the formation of memories.
