Abstract

This article aims to “meander” among several theories from aesthetic, artistic and educational fields to build an ontological narrative about what we can really understand today as aesthetic education. To do so, we develop commentaries to some thinkers, such as G. Lipovetsky, J. Serroy, G. Spivak, E. Morin, J. Dewey, N. Bourriaud e K. Mandoki,to comprehend globalization as a complex concept, and how it affects our understanding of aesthetics as philosophical field of knowledge, but also as sensitive experience, as aesthesis. But, this article also, and above all, enquires how aesthetic education can effectively and positively act in the global world we live in, through a contemporary aesthetic “gaze”, with its diversity of points of view and fields of study.
