Abstract

Some new transition metal complexes of Cobalt (II), Nickel (II), Copper (II), and Zinc (II) with Schiff base ligand resulting from the condensation of 3,5-dichlorosalicylaldehyde and 2-aminophenol were synthesized in an ethanolic medium. Both ligand/complexes were characterized by some physicochemical techniques such as FTIR, UV, NMR, Mass, TGA, and SEM. The CHN elemental analysis data showed the formation of 1:1 [M:L] complexes. Magnetic susceptibility balance helps to find the magnetic values of the metal complexes. The various nanoparticles were prepared from metal complexes. The invitro antimicrobial activity was screened against the pathogens.
