Abstract
Novel nanostructured TiO2 films for use in dye-sensitized solar cells were fabricated using the electrostatic layer-by-layer (ELBL) deposition method. Solar energy conversion efficiency over 5% was achieved with a 1.5 μm nanoparticulate film plus a scattering layer. Layered architectures incorporating scattering particles or nanorods into nanoparticulate films were also produced.
