Abstract

A series of Cu-Zn mixed ferrimagnetite with composition formula Cu1−xZnxFeMnO4 is prepared through the citrate gel auto-combustion route. The effects of diamagnetic zinc substitution at the electronic transport, elemental evaluation and magnetic properties of Cu-Zn ferrimagnetite have been studied in detail. Surface morphology becomes studied by way of scanning electronic microscopy (SEM). Elemental concentration was estimated by energy dispersive X-ray analysis (EDXA). The electric properties of the samples show semiconducting behavior and the values of resistivity had been varied among 106–1011 Ω cm. The room temperature M-H hysteresis curve suggests that the samples show intrinsic ferrimagnetisms.
