Abstract
An arc jet plasma technique is used to produce nanosized diamond particle deposition and for the deposition of diamond-like carbon at high growth rates. In this case, atomic hydrogen produced in the arc plasma participates in the methane decomposition. In addition, a thermodynamic modeling will be presented for the nucleation of stable diamond as nanoparticles and thin films and the computation was made in the range of the applied plasma reactor.
