Abstract

The generalized centroid shift method has been applied to heavy-ion reactions. In several even-even nuclei, delayed components in the lowest yrast transitions were revealed indicating the existence of high-spin nanosecond isomers. The longest delay was measured in 106Cd where new discrete isomers were found.
