Abstract

ABSTRACT Graphene and graphene oxide nanoscrolls are one-dimensional graphene derivatives. Nanoscrolls, papyrus-like open ended nanostructures, are hybrid nanostructures between graphene and carbon nanotube. Research progress stated potential of graphene nanoscrolls for polymeric nanocomposites. Consequently, polymer/graphene nanoscrolls have superior surface area, microstructure, and mechanical, thermal, conducting, capacitance, and other beneficial physical/practical profiles. Consequently, state-of-the-art overview highlights the design and features/technical potential of high-performance polymer/graphene nanoscroll nanocomposites. Graphene nanoscrolls nanocomposites have been employed for technical purposes including supercapacitors, batteries, and anti-corrosion coatings. Future research labors on revolutionary polymer/graphene nanoscrolls nanocomposite have been desirable for more sophisticated multifunctional designs and to resolve design/performance challenges.
