Abstract
• Cancer vaccines aim to harness or reactivate the body’s own natural defenses against tumors. • Nanoscale metal-organic-framework (nMOF) generates cytotoxic reactive oxygen species on X-ray exposure. • nMOFs can release tumor antigens and deliver CpG oligonucleotides to boost immune response. • nMOF-based cancer vaccination approach could address problem of tumor heterogeneity.
