Abstract

To better understand the properties of cobalt removal polycrystalline diamond compact (PDC), we studied the tribological behavior and wear mechanism of cobalt removal PDC under dry friction, PAO6 lubrication and PAO6 lubrication with MoS2 states. The friction and wear behavior, microstructural evolution and chemical reaction were analyzed by using Raman, SEM, XPS. The experimental results showed friction coefficient high and serious wear under dry friction. Under PAO6 with nano-MoS2 lubrication, MoS2 improved the friction reduction and wear resistance of PAO6. The cobalt removal PDC had a relatively low friction coefficient and wear rate, and no graphitization phenomenon was observed. In the grinding process, chemical reactions occurred and formed a friction film, and the wear surface was relatively smooth.
