Abstract

This article deals with supermolecular donor-acceptor systems consisting of fullerene covalently linked to chromophores. Zinc porphyrin and perylenediimide with one fullerene C60 absorption spectra in nonpolarized and polarized light in the UV-Vis, IR, and reflection-absorption spectra in IR regions were measured in chloroform and in films to get information about modification of electronic structures and molecular arrangement in the systems (1–3). An electrochemical cell was used to follow light-induced current. It was shown that fullerene markedly influences photoactivity of the dyes and molecular arrangement.
