Download : Download high-res image (400KB) Download : Download full-size image Dr. Andrew Tyler completed his MChem at the University of Central Lancashire before undertaking a PhD in natural product chemistry at Newcastle University. His PhD project involved the isolation, structural elucidation, and total synthesis of bacterial siderophores. Following this, he remained at Newcastle to join Drs. Hall and Probert for a BBRSC/NPRONET-funded postdoctoral position on the development of new techniques for the crystallization of small molecules on the nanoscale, using high throughput liquid handling robotics. Currently, Dr. Tyler is employed as a Research Scientist at NewChem Technologies Ltd., undertaking contract synthesis work for the pharmaceutical industry.
