Abstract
In this study, 1 wt.% Y2O3 nanoparticles were added into the IN718 superalloy fabricated by laser powder bed fusion (L-PBF). The results indicated a significant grain size refinement along the building direction and a substantial improvement in <100> texture. Room temperature tensile studies revealed that the addition of Y2O3 enhanced yield strength, ultimate tensile strength, and fracture elongation.
