Abstract

In this interview, artist Nandipha Mntambo talks about how she manipulates cowhides into sculptural installations by firstly moulding them to her body. She explains how her depiction and representation of self, comes out of a struggle with boundaries and labels. We also explore the appropriation of her as an artist into the canon of Contemporary African Art.
