Abstract
The article deals with the entrepreneurial activity of small and medium-sized businesses in Russia. Identified problems that will solve small and medium-sized businesses in the economy. The factors hindering the development of small and medium-sized businesses are identified. As a result of the analysis, the following conclusions: the level of early entrepreneurial activity in Russia is below its median value in the world; entrepreneurial activity in Russia is stagnating; small and medium-sized businesses today give about 22% of Russia’s GDP, which is much less than in developed countries (50-60%); only a third of the demand of small and medium-sized businesses in Finance is currently fully satisfied. It is concluded that the development of small and medium-sized businesses in Russia is hampered by many problems, the solution of which can only contribute to a thoughtful and balanced public policy.
