Abstract

In this paper the authors summarized the results of research work carried out at Gyűrűfű in the framework of the Hungarian Biodiversity Days (2006-2008). In 1 km2 area covered with several different types of habitats altogether 273 butterfly and larger moth species were detected by netting, lighting, portable light trapping and sugaring. The most interesting Natura 2000, protected or rare species in Hungary are: Parnassius mnemosyne, Maculinea alcon, Euphydryas maturna, Eriogaster catax, Eriogaster lanestris, Perconia strigillaria, Apamea syriaca tallosi, Arytrura musculus, Meganephria bimaculosa, Polypogon gryphalis.
