Abstract

NAD status acts as an integration hub of plant cell metabolism, signalling, and the environment, but assessing its in situ dynamics has remained challenging using conventional analytical methods. The genetically encoded fluorescent biosensor, Peredox-mCherry, reports on the NADH:NAD+ ratio by coupling the fluorescence intensity of a tSapphire domain to binding of NADH or NAD+ to two T-Rex domains.
