Abstract

The paper analyses issues dealt with during several conferences during the year 2009. These Issues relate to history didactic, general didactic, pedagogy, and psychology, that is to say disciplines which share a common interest in the support of teaching and learning processes. The paper discusses the relevance of discourses in other disciplines for the field of history didactics. For this purpose a focus is laid on the orientation towards competencies and their development in educational settings. Possible directions of further empirical research into the development of historical competencies are identified.
