Abstract

Between June 8-13, 1992, the IV Latin American Congress of Religion and Ethnicity was held at the Escuela Nacional de Antropologia e Historia (ENAH-INAH) (National School of Anthropology and History) in Mexico City. The event was sponsored by the Latin American Network of Religion and Ethnicity—a member of the Latin American Council of Social Sciences (CLACSO)—and also by the Latin American Association for the Study of Religion (ALER). General coordination was under Professor Elio Masferrer Kan, President of the congress' Permanent Committee.
