Abstract
In present study, we prepared Na0.5Bi0.5TiO3 (NBTO3) having perovskite structure via solid-state route. NBTO3 sample was characterized to examine the physico-chemical, optical and photoelectrochemical assets of samples using various analytical techniques. Photocatalytic activity of NBTO3 was investigated for methylene blue and rose Bengal dye degradation and toxic Cr (VI) reduction. Furthermore, NBTO3 was evaluated for antimicrobial and antioxidant activity. These findings highlight the versatile role of the prepared NBTO3 as an efficient catalyst for environmental remediation making it a promising material for various applications. The rate and mechanism related with photodegradation reaction were evaluated by kinetics and radical trap based quenching experiment. Moreover, the reusability study confirmed that even after four cycles, the material’s photocatalytic activity was still high.
