Abstract

The article discusses the motives related to death that can be found in the poetry of Kasper Miaskowski. The author reflects on the soul crossing the border between the temporal and the eternal world. It draws attention to the death of Christ, the Passion that preceded it, and the participation in these events of the Mother of the Savior. Then he presents the creations of the death of sinners and analyzes the role of Mary in the work of redemption – she is the intercessor and intermediary between people and their Creator. He notices that the Baroque poet describes in laudatory topics not only the death of eminent people, but also of his relatives and relatives.
