Abstract
This paper describes a 'Quick and Dirty' (but powerful) approach to the capital investment problem. The idea is to leave the reader with a pro-forma based methodology for capital investment decision-making within the framework of the taxation laws of the Republic.

OPSDMMING: Hierdie kart bydrae bespreek die goedkeuring van uitgawes vir 'n sekere belegging op 'n wyse wat algemeen in Suid Afrika toegepas word. Die berekening van die huidige teenswoordige waarde van geld voor asook na die aftrekking van inkomstebelasting word deur middel van verdiskonteringsontleding gedoen. Die voor- en die nadele van albei word bespreek. Die doel van die skrywers is om 'n vinnige en kragtige proforma gebaseerde.metode daar te stel wat deur bestuurders gebruik kan word vir beleggingsbesluitneming binne die huidige belastingwetgewing van die Republiek
