Abstract

Abstract Ruthenium-based catalysts for olefin metathesis have attained enormous attention during the past years. Recently we have shown that the application of N -heterocyclic carbenes extends and complements the ubiquitous phosphanes. We now report on new members of our family of ruthenium-based catalysts for olefin metathesis. The synthesis of novel mixed carbene/phosphane- and homo- and heterobimetallic rutheniumalkylidene complexes is presented.
