Abstract
A convenient and efficient procedure was developed for preparing α,α′‐icyanostilbenes through the oxidative coupling reaction of benzyl cyanide derivatives using N‐benzyl DABCO tribromide as the oxidative bromination reagent in the presence of K2CO3 as a base.
