Abstract
The large coherent structure of the jet flow has been investigated actively because it relates to the promotion of the chemical reaction and the diffusion of the industrial waste matter to the air. Some investigators tried to promote or suppress of the heat and mass transfer by controlling the jet flow artificially. The active control of the free jet flow is treated in this study. The vortex ring issues continuously with a forward-bent posture or a backward one from the pipe exit, by rotating the pipe with the inclined section. In the cases of various angle of the inclined section of the pipe and the rotating speed, the flow visualization and the wavelet multi-resolution analysis of coherent structure have conducted.
