Abstract

Since 1979, we have recorded the daily Japanese cedar pollen count. We used average maximum temperature 7/11-8/4 as the main determinative factor to calculate the expected total seasonal pollen count. Recently, the expected total seasonal pollen count was very different from the actual count. Therefore, we reconsidered weather and other factors to define the best determinative factor. Consequently, we obtained good mutual relation of the average maximum temperature 7/6-7/20. We obtained good results by using this factor to predict the total seasonal pollen count in 1993.
