Abstract

A novel tunable multiwavelength random fiber laser with half-open cavity has been demonstrated, which is formed by total reflection of a connected 3 dB coupler and randomly distributed Rayleigh scattering in single mode fiber. Seven Stokes lines have been achieved. And the wavelength of the Brillouin random fiber laser can be tuned in 50 nm wavelength range.
