Abstract

We report two cases of intramedullary spinal cord tumors treated with cavitron ultrasonic surgical aspirator (CUSA). Total removal was achieved using it. Though two cases had profound neurological deficits, one case showed a little improvement of neurological deficits and obtained loss of severe pain, and other case obtained a slight relief of pain. Postoperative deterioration has not occurred. CUSA is a very useful instrument for treatment of intramedullary spinal cord tumor.
