Abstract

City-size waste-to-energy generator plant of waste, instead of large scale and centralized generator, has been a trend. A key question was how efficiently the vapor temperature could be maintained high(500 °C). High temp. and high corrosion resistant super heater tube with low cost and high performance, was highly demanded. PPW overlaid composite superheater tube is introduced here. Corroded depth of tube surface was as low as 0.2mm in 8 months at temperature of 480 °C. This means that with PPW overlaid 2.5mm the life time of tube will be longer than 5 years. Cost of tube was estimated lower than half or two-thirds of super-alloy solid tube.
