Abstract

The main ploblems after the treatment of fracture of the femoral head are avascular necrosis and osteoarthritis. In order to avoid these complications, several methods of treatment, including closed reduction and operative treatment, are advocated. We reported two cases of a Pipkin Type-II fracture of the femoral head associated with posterior dislocation of the hip. One patient was treated by internal fixation with screws and bone pegs, and the other with bone pegs and fibrin paste. We have obtained satisfactory results with this treatment for femoral head fractures.
